About Triangle Women in Business
Triangle Women in Business's mission is to bring women together in a supportive and judgement-free environment while encouraging and assisting them in reaching their business and professional goals. We are focused on helping to educate, empower, and encourage female owners and operators from all over the Triangle to help them start, run, and grow their businesses. We are the Triangle's own women's Chamber of Commerce.
Foster a judgement-free environment where all women are welcome.
Connect and bring women together in ways that will help them grow their businesses and networks.
Share knowledge across disciplines and industries so women can learn and grow together.
Give back to our local community by partnering with a local charity and encouraging all women to contribute to their communities.
Assist our members with what they need to succeed and generate revenue for their businesses.
Triangle Women in Business originally started as Raleigh Women in Business' in 2015 by Catt Fleetwood. She was a member of many local networking groups but didn't feel that she was getting what she needed out of those groups. She wanted a place where women could work together as they worked towards their business and professional goals.
RWIB grew tremendously over the next few years, earning a reputation for being a group that women felt was extremely helpful and encouraging. Member feedback is always positive, with high emphasis on the support and knowledge that they gain. In 2018 we decided to change our name from Raleigh Women in Business to Triangle Women in Business in order to be more accurate and inclusive of all the women in our organization and the larger Triangle area that we cover.
